Tales of a Solitary Soul

Saturday, January 06, 2007

I head back to university this Monday after an 8 month hiatus. This is essentially my second last term insha Allah and if all goes according to plan, I should be graduating in December. But this is certainly not the end of line. I'll be back for a second degree insha Allah but meanwhile, I need some time away in the real world.

I feel like Frodo at the base of Mount Doom. A journey worth a thousand pages with tales of grief and joy alike. Those that started alongside have already left save a handful who stay, afraid of the unknown. I've overstayed my welcome too but my time is not far.

Yet, a part of me is happy that it all comes to an end. The challenges have become old and the routine has begun to drag me down. A new phase of life awaits and best of all, new challenges. My wings have just grown full.

woah, that's some heavy words there. wishing you all the luck for the upcoming semester!
Thanks Hafsa!

Hope your work is going well too in the world of IT.
Some heavy words indeed my friend, This time too shall pass, and in time you will be left wondering where time went....(well atleast I know I will ;P)
"afraid of the unknown"- Why be afraid of that which you know not of? Though the the pens have lifted and the pages have dried, we still have the ability to make choices, but yes making the right choices is the task at hand. Ask Him for guidence and Ishallah all will go well.
This may just contradict everything I wrote but that's what blogging is about- for the past week I've been desparately wishing I was Bilbo, waiting for the end of my time in Rivendale, writing tales of my past adventures in solitude, accompanied only by the the serenity of the cerulean sky, and the sun wraping me in its warmth with every step I take towards its light.
Sorry for stealing your limetight (if that's what I did)-I could write an essay, just haven't had the chance to let it all out and this seemed too good of and opportunity;)
This is Saraa, I just came across your blog, and you got some pretty interesting things going on here...hmmmm
Whirling Wind: a fellow LOTR fan! I think we are all Bilbo to a certain extent. Every one has a tale to tell but no listeners.

Don't worry, you didn't steal my lime light. I like the way you write. You should 'let it all out' more often.

Saraa: yeah, put something on here from time to time, whenever I get the urge to write.
LOTR fan...hmm I wouldn't say, I just felt the need to watch a movie which has Absolutely nothing to do with everyday life, something that could take me off to a far away non existant land...much like Rivendale.
I'de love to get a one way ticket there! Sooo this weekend I'm renting Two Towers.....after work tomorrow, and IF i have any energy remaing I Might just watch it;)
p.s by the way I'm Whirling Storm, not Whirling Wind...hahaha that's twice
Yeah, I wouldn't mind a good long stay in Rivendale either. I wonder if any such places exist on earth.

I wish I had time for a LOTR marathon again.

Sorry about the name mistake. Didn't realize there was a first time.
No place, already looked.
Dubia perhaps? LOTR marathon?? That sounds intense.
Dubai: remember that not everything that shines is gold.

This place
might come close though.

And this
one too.

It's French Polynesia, South Pacific; land that time forgot and a place where people go to forget themselves.

Not sure if I'll ever get a chance in this life but have to make sure I get it in the next one insha Allah.
Hey Whirlly storm...LOTR was awsome, I didn't know you liked LOTR, faraz, I don't know you didn't seem like the guy that would watch it

anyway what did you think of the Mosquers, what happened I thought you guyz were going to make one, see I wrote at the beginning? "safa and marwa productions" lol I kept mine!!
Wow, Mashallah.
I can hear the waterfall creep down with a gushing force, smell the sweet dewy forest and feel the tingle of mist on my face from a far. A treacherous creature lingers behind the deep rooted trees. It lurks under the shelter of the forest shadow protecting it from the destructive forces of us.
A picture speaks a thousand words, and I have two thousand more to say. This may be the place but I don't have the time!
p.s: I'm still going to Dubia:p
Whirling Storm: All right madam, you have fun in Dubai. By the way, did I mention I lived there for 5 years?

Suzy: As for the mosquers, my team sort of fell apart and then I couldn't possibly do everything either. Next year insha Allah, I have big plans!!

I did notice that you used safa and marwa productions....gee, I wonder who came up with that??
Madam? How can you be so sure?
If you were a sir, there'd be no reason for an alias.
I won't deny that. It's strange how the internet provides us with the face of anonymity. But in this case I believe my name is not deemed necessary.
